I'm a passionate and dedicated programmer who loves taking real-world problems and building practical solutions to solve them.

Who am I?

I'm a developer with over seven years of programming experience with the last three and a half years operating as a professional Full Stack Developer and Project Lead. In my position I successfully led the redevelopment of a complex Remote Monitoring platform, enhancing its performance, scalability, and user experience while simultaneously supporting existing legacy systems throughout the development process. I build dependable backend architecture paired with intuitive interfaces. I excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time. I'm passionate about learning new technologies and continuously improving my skill set to stay current in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

My Timeline

September 2013 - June 2017
High School
Graduated in June 2017, with a focus on technology through specialized courses in game development and C# programming. These early experiences sparked my passion for programming and laid the groundwork for my future in the field.
September 2019 - August 2021
College
I enrolled at Camosun College in Fall 2019 and completed the 2-year (24-month) ICS program, which emphasized practical programming, software development, and problem-solving skills. Graduated in August 2021 after completing our final Capstone project.
May 2021 - August 2021
Capstone
For my Capstone project, my team and I developed a Microsoft Teams bot using the Microsoft Bot Framework and Azure services for the company Metl. The bot was designed to proactively message users about upcoming scheduled meetings and provide ice breaker questions to facilitate engagement. This project also required me to step into an active production environment and work with existing codebases and systems to integrate our new features for Microsoft Teams.
September 2021 - March 2025
Introduction to the Industry
Immediately after graduation, I joined Valid Manufacturing to overhaul their Remote Monitoring platform used for managing large-scale batteries and generators for movie/tv production. After successfully completing the overhaul, I was promoted to the Project Lead and assumed full responsibility for the projects ongoing development and management.
